Daryle Singletary

Daryle Singletary was a famous singer, known to put his heart and soul to his work. His hardwork paid off after having made a series of successful albums throughout his career. Some of his songs were chart-topping hits. Two decades into the music industry, his camp announced his unexpected death in his home in Tennessee. According to police reports, his medical issues to some degree caused his death. Further explained by his family, he suffered from a blood clot. He passed away February 2018.

John Paul Steuer

Jon Paul Steuer started out as a child model, having made several mdoeling gigs while he was still young. It wasn’t long when he joined other young artists into Hollywood. His notable roles would be  Alexander Rozhenko in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Quentin Kelly in Grace Under Fire. Kids from the 90’s would fondly remember him now as Johnny “Viper” Vennaro of the Little Giants. His earning were put in good use as he is known to have made investments, building a restaurant located in the heart f Portland, Oregon. However, everyone was shocked to learn that he committed sucide January of 2018. He passed away at the age of 33.

Bob Clotworthy

Bob Clotworthy was a famous American Olympian back in the 50’s. He was one of the best diver-swimmers, who later became a well-respected coach from the mid-50’s until he retired in 2006. He received credits for his huge impact and achievement as a professional athlete. In fact, he was inducted to the International Swimming Hall of Fame class of 1980. He will be remembered as one of the greatest American athletes of all time. He passed away peacefully at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah in June 2018 due to natural causes.

Deanna Lund

Those who love classic films back in the 60’s would easily recognize Deanna Lund. She had one of the prettiest faces at that time. Together with her exceptional talent, she was one of the most sough-after actresses at the peak of her career. Here’s a little fun fact: Lund did not finish her college degree opting to drop out and marry her high school sweetheart. She then made her way into Hollywood, where she established her career until she retired. According to friends and family, Lund passed away due to pancreatic cancer in June 2018. She passed away at the age of 81.

DANIEL PILON 

Daniel Pilon was a Canadian actor known for his role in Dallas as Renaldo “Naldo” Marchetta. In addition to this, Pilon also appeared in many soap operas such as Guiding Light, Ryan’s Hope, and Days of Our Lives. He’s appeared in several more TV shows and many films from late 60’s until 2011. He was reportedly considered for the role of James Bond, twice according to Wikipedia. While everything looks good career-wise, misfortune seemed to follow his personal life. In 1994, his house was destroyed by an earthquake forcing him to declare bankruptcy. That same year, he filed for a divorce from his wife. In June 2018, he passed away because of cancer.

NICOLE DEHUFF

Nicole DeHuff was an American actress, who began her acting career by finishing her degree in drama from Carnegie Mellon University. According to Wikipedia, she also met her executive producer and director Ari Palitz, whom she married later on. Before she passed away, DeHuff was hospitalized several times because her illness was misdiagnosed. She was first treated for bronchitis however, her condition didn’t get better and turned for the worse. It was much later when the doctors had diagnosed her with the correct illness. However, it was already too late. She passed away in February 2005 because of pneumonia. She died at the age of 30.

CLINT WALKER 

Clint Walker was an American actor and singer, who rose to fame when Western-themed movies became popular. He was considered as one of the iconic actors during the 50’s until the 70’s. One of his notable roles was playing Cheyenne Bodie in Cheyenne, which aired from the 50’s until early 60s. Walker had three marriages. He had to hire a divorce lawyer for the first one. Sadly, his second wife passed away too early. He left his first wife when he died May of 2018, just nine days before his 91st birthday. He died of congestive heart failure in Grass Valley California.

GARY OWENS 

Gary Owens had an extensive career mostly using his voice as his investment. He was an American radio personality, announcer, disk jockey, voice actor and an actor. He rose to fame when he appeared in Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In and Space Ghost. He was frequently heard on television and radios in the 50’s towards early 2000. However, he finally succumbed to his disease at the age of 80. He passed away in February 2015 because of complications brought by Type 1 diabetes. He had this disease when he was just eight.

BEN WOOLF

Ben Woolf may not have many film credits to his name, he was considered a great actor in the industry. He appeared several times in the horror TV series American Horror Story in it’s first and fourth seasons. Did you know that he had a degree that allows him to teach to preschoolers? Yes, he is able to teach during his slow season. He had an accident a while back, which resulted in a head injury. Later on, he suffered a stroke from this very head injury. He passed away at the age of 34 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

MICHELLE THOMAS 

Michelle Thomas became famous for appearing in family shows such as The Cosby Show and Family Matters. While she was diagnosed early on with a rare type of cancer called intra-abdominal desmoplastic small-round-cell tumor. She had undergone a lot to beat the cancer. In fact, she underwent two surgeries to remove the tumor but she eventually succumbed to the disease in 1998. She was just 29 years old when she passed away. Despite the huge medical expenses, her family was far from bankruptcy.

SAM SIMON 

Sam Simon was one of the brains behind Hollywood’s most popular animated sitcom, The Simpsons, along with Matt Groening and James L. Brooks. He was a genius and had a knack with his hands. He finished a degree at Stanford University because of these gifts. He worked as a newspaper cartoonist while studying and later on became a storyboard artist at Filmation Studios. Sadly, he was diagnosed with terminal colorectal cancer. As with most types of cancers, this one also affected his other vital organs too, including his liver and kidney. Due to severe complications brought by the disease, he died in March 2015 at the age of 59.

Jonathan Brandis

Jonathan Brandis appeared in many brand commercials when he was still a child. From being a child model, he moved towards acting in television shows and films. His first notable role was in ABC’s soap opera One Life to Live. Later on, he became popular among teens and became an icon when he starred in the 1990 film The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter. From this, he appeared in the sci-fi series SeaQuest DSV.

Bill Nunn

Bill Nunn was the son of Frances Nunn. His grandfather was the first African American football player. Bill Nunn had an investment of four decades in the entertainment industry. While he was active in the business, he appeared in more than 70 different shows and movies. The most notable, perhaps, were his roles as Radio Raheem in Do the Right Thing, and as Robbie Robertson in the Spiderman trilogy.

Fans would always associate Laura Branigan with her hit signature song, the platinum-certified 1982 single “Gloria”. This classic favorite was a certified platinum in 1982. After this, she released another cover, titled Self Control, which also topped the charts. Both songs were a huge hit worldwide, becoming much-loved classics up to this day. One of her investments during her career was real estate.

John Hurt

The renowned English actor, Sir John Vincent Hurt, was born on January 22, 1940 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He had been a familiar face in Hollywood for over fifty years. He rose to fame when he took on the role of Richard Rich in A Man for All Seasons in 1966. His performance portrayals of Timothy Evans in 10 Rillington Place earned him a BAFTA nomination. He won his first BAFTA in the TV movie “The Naked Civil Servant” .

Her style and approach to her craft reformed the R&B and the soul genres. Because of this, she earned the title of Ivory Queen of Soul. Fans of the Karate Kid series will surely recognize Pat Morita for his role as Mr. Miyagi. The movie series was popular during the ’80s and ’90s. His performance earned him a number of nominations. David Graf will forever be synonymous with Sgt. Eugene Tackleberry in the Police Academy film series that was a huge hit back in the mid to late ’80s. He did not finish his degree in graduate school, dropping out and started his acting career in 1975. He managed to join the game show The $20,000 Pyramid. That was his needed break to get through with his finances. It was a sad day when a few days before his 51st birthday, Graf suddenly collapsed due to a heart attack. He was considered one of the best actors in the 80’s. He passed away in April 2001.

Wendie Jo Sperber

Battling breast cancer is never easy, and Wendie Jo Sperber was considered one of the strongest, who fought the disease bravely. Though she finally succumbed to cancer at a young age of 47, she had helped and empowered people who were in the same situation. In fact, she was an active member of several support and prevention groups for cancer patients. She received a lot of movie credits during her career, having appeared in I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Back to the Future, where Sperber played Marty McFly’s sister. She passed away in November 2005.

Gina Mastrogiacomo

Gina Mastrogiacomo had a rare condition of the heart muscle known as Myocarditis, which causes severe bacterial infection of the vital organ. She succumbed to her illness when she was just 39 years old. It was a pity that she had all the potential needed to make it big in Hollywood. She got her first movie credit in Alien Space Avenger. She got a big break to be a part of Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas. She became a familiar face on the small screen after that. She continued to do this until she passed away in May 2001.

Anita Mui

Anita Mui dominated Hong Kong music and the acting scene during her peak years. She was a phenomenal performer, and her powerful voice just completed the overall experience. She is considered an icon, and her works and contributions to the industry remain relevant up to today. She also became popular in other Asian countries like Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. You would never associate Anita Mui with any personal loan as he had become very wealthy at this point. However, her success was cut short when she lost the battle against cervical cancer last December 2003 at a young age of 40.

Lynne Thigpen

Lynne Thigpen had a spectacular career, having earned a number of nominations and awards at the peak of her race. Unlike some actresses, she finished her degree first in college before she decided to pursue acting. She was nominated six times at the Daytime Emmy Award and even won a Tony in the 1997 film An American Daughter. She was considered as one of the versatile actresses in Hollywood. However, her progress was cut short when she suddenly passed away in March 2003 because of a cerebral hemorrhage.

James Rebhorn

James Rebhorn was a seasoned actor, having more than 100 movie and television credits to his name. He also starred on the Showtime hit Homeland. He was exemplary in his performances and was considered to be a legend. He was a diagnosed with melanoma in 1992. This is a type of cancer that developes from the overproduction of melanoma – the cells that give our skin it’s distinct color. While he had a great team of doctors, the cancer still caught up on him and he passed away March 2014 at the age of 65.

Malcolm Mclaren

Malcolm Robert Andrew McLaren or Malcolm McLaren for short was an icon in the English entertainment industry. He was considered as a visionary by many with his ideals and perception way ahead of his time. He is also able to recognize opportunities that others would otherwise miss. This would later on turn out to be a great investments. He played a key role in the transformation of the punk movement, setting trends and styles in this category. He was also the force behinc famous bands such as New York Dolls and the Sex Pistols. He was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma in 2009. This is a type of cancer that affects the abdominal lining. He soon passed away on April 2010.

Andy Hallett became popular for appearing in the fantasy television series Angel, which was a huge hit in the early 2000s. Did you know that he also got a great voice? In fact, he recorded two of the series’ soundtrack in their 2005 album Angel: Live Fast, Die Never. Towards the final leg of the series, he reportedly suffered from a dental infection. Nobody expected the infection to escalate quickly, and it reached his heart. It was a possible case of cardiomyopathy. Covered by his insurance and a team of great doctors, he recovered from this episode. However, his heart was still greatly affected. He passed away in March 2009 because of congestive heart failure.

Guillaume Depardieu

Guillaume Depardieu was naturally born with a great talent. This is assumed from being the eldest son of the legendary Gérard Depardieu, who had more than 170 movie credit to his name. His first stint was in Pas si méchant que ça, which was shown in the 70’s. After a long hiatus, he returned to the big screen with an exemplary performance in Tous les matins du monde. This earned him a nomination for a César Award for Most Promising Actor. He suffered from a severe case of pneumonia and passed away in October 2008 at the age of 37.

Jean Stapleton

Jean Stapleton was a seasoned actress, having a career spanning decades – from 1941 up until 2001. She achieved many recognitions and awards throughout her run. Perhaps, her most notaole performance was playing the character of Edith Bunker in the classic sitcom All in the Family. She will always sbe Edith Bunker to many. Having worked in the industry for so long, many would assume that she had a financial advisor in place to manage her finances. Her family released a statement that the actress passed away peacefully of natural causes in her New York City home in May 2013.

Steve James

Steve James rose to fame when he appeared in the hit movies American Ninja and Delta Force. He was considered as one of the hottest stars during the 70’s and 80’s. If this wasn’t enough to equip him with the basic skills, he also had additional knowledge of the craft after he finished his degree in Arts and Film at C.W. Post College. However, he took a step back from the limelight at the age of 41. His friends and fans were shocked to learn of his passing in December 1993 because of pancreatic cancer.

Reg E. Cathay

Reginald Eurias Cathey or Reg E. Cathay for short, was a well-admired and award-winning actor. He became a familiar face credits to his role as Norman in the HBO crime series, The Wire. His also had a notable performance portraying Freddy Hayes in the House of Cards. He was nominated three consecutive times at the Emmy Awards for his performance. However, he passed away in his hime in New York City, loosing his battle against lung cancer. He died February 2018 at the age of 59.

John Gavin

John Gavin was dominating the classic movies in the 60’s. Did you know that his full name is actually Juan Vincent Apablasa Jr.? The avid fans of the classic films may not recognize that name but John Gavin certainly was a huge name back in the days. He was part of a number of iconic films such as Spartacus and played a major role in Psycho. He wasn’t just a good actor, though. He was known to have made investments in several projects in the oil and communication industry. Sadly, he passed away February 2018 in his Beverly Hills home. Reports say that he died because of complications from pneumonia.

Marty Allen

Morton David Alpern is considered as one of the greatest comedians in the industry. He had several experiences in the performing arts, playing as a comedy headliner in nightclubs, a dramatic actor on TV before appearing on the big screen. He was known to be a philanthropist as well, going out of his way to visit military hospitals and provide support to the brave men. He worked together with many health associations, even insurance companies, to improve the general well-being of the people. This man with a kind heart passed because of complications from pneumonia. He lived a good and long 95 years of life.

CHARLIE SANDERS

Charlie Sanders was part of the 2007 class of Pro Football Hall of Fame, making him one of NFL legends. He was also named as one of the best players during the peak of his career, taking credit for being in the NFL’s 1970s All-Decade Team. This was already a huge success at that time. He used his gift and skills when he was in college. He avoided any student loans by joining the football varsity team. He was one of the key players, who made the University of Minnesota grab the Big Ten championship during his college years. His fans were deeply saddened that Sanders passed away from cancer in July 2015.

BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN 

Bobbi Kristina Brown became famous when she appeared on the reality TV show Being Bobby Brown. She was already getting considerable following on social media being a huge influencer. Robert Loggia was an American actor and director with many movie credits to his name. In fact, he was famous in both fields at that time. He had a career spanning more than six decades in Hollywood, earning several nominations and recognition in these years. Some of his most famous crafts were The Greatest Story Ever Told, Pink Panther, Independence Day, The Sopranos, and Return to Me. Sadly, Loggia was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease back in 2010. He passed away due to many complications caused by his illness in December 2015. He died at the age of 85. He was found lying in his home in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

Natalie Cole was naturally born with many talents. This comes as no surprise if you’re the daughter of the jazz legend Nat King Cole. Natalie was an actress, singer, and songwriter. Certainly, one of Hollywood’s best. Larry Drake was an award-winning actor, voice artist and comedian. He will be fondly remembered for his portrayal of Benny Stulwicz in L.A. Law, which followed the story of a lawyer based in Los Angeles. Drake’s performance in the series earned him a pair of Emmy Awards. It was a truly sad day for his fans and the industry when he passed away in March 2016. He suffered from a rare form of blood cancer that only worsened because of hypertension and overweight.

He received credits for his magnificent portrayal of Lafayette Reynolds in the hit HBO series, having won Satellite Award from the International Press Academy.

Not everyone in Hollywood has a known cause of death. Meadowlark Lemon was an American actor, professional basketball player and a minister. He started out at the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, where he played for more than two decades. He was looked up by many basketball stars including Micahel Jordan, who considered him as a national treasure. In fact, Wilt Chamberlain gave credits to Lemon as being the best basketball player of all time. Reports of his death started circulating December of 2015.
